Vaccination for every stage of life.
At The Wright Practice, we provide a comprehensive vaccination service for children, teenagers and adults — from routine childhood immunisations to seasonal vaccines and additional protection that may not always be routinely offered through the NHS.
Whether you need to catch up on missed vaccinations, protect your child, prepare for university or simply make sure your vaccinations are up to date, we can help.
We can provide routine childhood vaccinations from infancy onwards, either as a complete vaccination programme or to supplement vaccinations your child has received elsewhere.
These include:
We can also review your child’s vaccination history and advise on missed or catch-up vaccinations.

Vaccination can be particularly relevant for teenagers and young adults preparing for university or other shared accommodation.
Not sure which vaccinations you need?
You don’t need to work it out yourself.
Bring us your vaccination history — however incomplete — and we can review:

We offer seasonal flu vaccination for adults and children.
Vaccination is particularly important for older adults, pregnant women and people with certain long-term medical conditions, but it is also available privately to those who simply wish to reduce their risk of influenza.
COVID-19 vaccination can help protect against serious illness and is particularly important for people at increased risk of complications.
We can advise on current COVID-19 vaccination recommendations, previous doses and whether further vaccination may be appropriate for you.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) can cause significant respiratory illness, particularly in older adults and other people at increased risk.
We offer RSV vaccination privately and can advise whether it is appropriate for you based on your age, medical history and individual risk factors.
Pneumococcal bacteria can cause serious infections including pneumonia, meningitis and bloodstream infections.
Vaccination may be recommended based on your age, medical history and individual risk factors.
We can review which pneumococcal vaccine is most appropriate and whether you require one or more doses.
Shingles is caused by reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus — the same virus that causes chickenpox — and becomes increasingly common with age.
It can be extremely painful and, in some people, can lead to prolonged nerve pain known as post-herpetic neuralgia.
Vaccination can substantially reduce the risk of developing shingles and its complications.
We offer the Shingrix shingles vaccine privately.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is extremely common and is associated with several cancers as well as genital warts.
HPV vaccination is routinely offered during adolescence, but vaccination may also be appropriate for some adults who were not previously vaccinated or did not complete their course.
We can review your vaccination history and advise whether HPV vaccination would be appropriate for you.
Different vaccines protect against different types of meningococcal disease.
We offer both MenB and MenACWY vaccination and can advise which is appropriate according to age, previous vaccination history and individual circumstances.
Chickenpox is usually mild but can sometimes cause significant illness and complications.
We offer the chickenpox vaccine from 12 months of age, with two doses normally recommended for optimal protection.
An additional benefit of vaccination is a lower risk of developing shingles later in life. Shingles occurs when the varicella-zoster virus remains dormant in the body following chickenpox and later reactivates. Children who are vaccinated rather than acquiring chickenpox naturally have a significantly lower risk of subsequently developing shingles, although the risk is not completely eliminated.
Vaccination can be particularly useful for children who have not previously had chickenpox, as well as susceptible teenagers and adults.

Vaccination remains important as children get older, particularly around secondary school and before university.
We offer:
We can review your teenager’s vaccination record and identify any gaps.
This can be particularly useful before university, boarding school or living in shared accommodation.

Immunity and vaccination requirements change throughout adulthood.
We offer:
We can also advise on vaccination for people with particular medical conditions, occupational risks or other individual circumstances.

Whether you’re arranging your baby’s vaccinations, catching up on missed vaccines or reviewing your own protection, our doctors can advise you and create an appropriate vaccination plan.

Wow! Dr. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to my health and well being. I’m so glad to have found him!
I have been going to Dr Wright for a number of years now. He is highly knowledgeable, compassionate, open minded and efficient, I couldn’t recommend him highly enough
I have been a patient of Doctor Dan for some time and continue to consult with him despite having left the UK. Dan has the enthusiasm and energy of a young man, whilst taking the holistic “physician” approach of an old school family doctor, equipped with the most modern insights and technology.
Dr Jain was great. Expert knowledge with practical advice
